Alejandra Davila

Budget & Research Analyst

Alejandra Davila is the Budget & Research Analyst at the Fines and Fees Justice Center (FFJC). As a member of the Policy & Research team, she advances legislative and fiscal analysis of fines and fees reform to support local, state, and national advocacy efforts.

Prior to joining FFJC, Alejandra was an advocate for students in the juvenile justice system at the National Center for Youth Law. She collaborated with her students’ legal and educational teams to create re-entry plans, facilitate school placements, and establish academic goals. Her vantage point as a liaison between stakeholders allowed her to witness the collision of several systemic failures, particularly that of an underfunded education system with a biased criminal justice system. She expanded on her direct service experience at the Malcolm Wiener Center for Social Policy, where she conducted research at the intersection of policing, prosecution, and sentencing practices.

Since then, Alejandra’s advocacy, policy, and communications work has spanned a variety of fields, from education equity and economic mobility to reproductive rights and civic engagement. The through-line of Alejandra’s work is youth justice, and she thrives when she’s working alongside communities to weave narratives, create innovative programs, and advance inclusive policymaking.

Alejandra graduated with a B.A. from Pomona College and a Master’s Degree of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Raised in the Inland Empire region of Southern California, she has an affinity for carne asada tacos, breathtaking mountain ranges, and sun (lots of it).
