Mariah Ross
Digital Media Manager
Mariah is the Digital Media Manager for the Fines and Fees Justice Center, where she leverages digital channels to expose and dismantle exploitative fines and fees practices that disproportionately impact low-income and BIPOC communities.
Before joining FFJC, she served as the Director of Communications and Marketing at New Media Ventures, where she developed and executed multifaceted strategies for initiatives like Voices for Democracy and provided strategic counsel to over 120 mission-driven portfolio companies. Her commitment to social justice shines through her nonprofit work, which focused on expanding youth voter access and combating misinformation during critical electoral periods.
With a passion for storytelling, Mariah illuminates systemic injustices, compelling audiences to confront important realities and take bold action. Outside of work, you’ll find Mariah exploring her new surroundings in North Carolina with her family, managing the delightful chaos of her cats and bearded dragon, and trying to recreate her grandma’s recipes. As a proud New Jersey native and Seton Hall alum, she never misses a chance to showcase the greatness of the Garden State.
