We are working to break the link between money and justice.
FFJC advocates for the elimination of fees in the justice system, to ensure any fines are imposed and enforced equitably, and to end abusive collections practices. Our goal is to sever the link between money and justice and ensure that outcomes are never determined by income.
We work directly with community advocates, policymakers and court system stakeholders.
Since 2018, FFJC has empowered bipartisan national, state, and local efforts to eliminate fees in the justice system, ensure any fines are imposed and enforced equitably, and end collections practices that harm families and communities. Across the country we have led and joined forces with policymakers, system stakeholders, and local advocates to achieve over 80 legislative victories. Our successful strategies for reform are translated into blueprints that can be replicated nationwide.
