Discounts for People Experiencing Homelessness in San Francisco
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is offering discounts on citations and fees for people experiencing homelessness. Discounts include a one-time waiver of all open parking citations, removal of all late penalties on open citations, a one-time boot removal fee dismissal, and towed vehicle fee dismissal. To be eligible individuals must be currently experiencing homelessness and have contacted one of the city’s Access Points in the last six months. SFMTA is also offering payment plans and community service as an alternative to paying a citation in full– enrollment results in the waiver of any accrued late penalties.
