Kayla DeHoniesto
Digital Media Manager
Kayla is the Digital Media Manager for the Fines and Fees Justice Center (FFJC) where she is responsible for leading digital media strategy, overseeing our social media channels and websites, and creating digital content.
Prior to FFJC, Kayla worked as a Communications Strategist for Public Justice where she managed public-facing communications for the Debtors’ Prison Project. She also holds a Master in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studied the juvenile justice system using youth-led participatory research.
In her free time, Kayla enjoys crafting, spending time with friends, and exploring her home in Durham, NC. She is also the social media coordinator for the local organization Friends of a Friend, which hosts events around the community to foster inclusion for Black, Brown and queer people in North Carolina’s Triangle region.
